Common Malocclusions:
underbite Under Bite: The lower jaw extending out, resulting in the lower teeth sticking past the front upper teeth causes an under bite.

overbite Over Bite: An over bite is when the front upper teeth extend out past the front lower teeth. This sometimes causes the front lower teeth to bite into the roof of your mouth.

open bite Open Bite: An open bite is when the upper and lower teeth do not overlap. This can sometimes cause problem with chewing food. Thumb sucking or tongue thrusting are commons causes of an open bite.

teeth spacing Teeth Spacing: Spacing is when there are gaps between your teeth. Missing teeth or a cosmetic issue can cause spacing of the teeth.

teeth protrusion Protrusion: A protrusion is when the upper teeth extend past the lower bottom teeth. This can be due to the upper teeth exceeding the lower teeth or the lower teeth not going far enough forward.

teeth crowding Crowding: Teeth crowding happens when the teeth do not have enough room to erupt from the gums. Crowding can be corrected by expansion or some time simply removing teeth.

crossbite Cross Bite: Cross bite is when the upper teeth sit inside the lower teeth. This can cause tooth stratification or misaligned jaw growth.

midlines Midlines: Midlines that do not match are noticeable when the back bite does not fit and match properly. This may negatively impact your jaw and dental function.

WARNING:  Poor Oral hygiene results in white scars on the surfaces of teeth and cavities.

It is up to YOU (not your Mom, Dad, Grandparents, babysitter, siblings, best friend or pet)
to care for your beautiful teeth.  You can do it!
