Brush your teeth 3 times a day with Fluoride toothpaste

This is how to brush with all that metal stuff on your teeth

  1. Put  toothpaste on your brush the length of the bristles
  2. use the timer Dr. Saxe gave you and brush for this long
  3. brush your gums and the base of your teeth
  4. brush on top of your brackets
  5. brush on the bottom of your brackets and the edges of your teeth
  6. brush on the inside of your teeth
  7. brush your tongue

Flossing

Use a floss threader to assist you with flossing under your wires.

Rinses
Any over the counter oral rinse will work such as Listerine, Crest or Act.

Ask Dr. Saxe for replacement tooth brush supplies as needed

WARNING:  Poor Oral hygiene results in white scars on the surfaces of teeth and cavities.

It is up to YOU (not your Mom, Dad, Grandparents, babysitter, siblings, best friend or pet)
to care for your beautiful teeth.  You can do it!

Quick Tips
Floss Everyday!

Mouthwash will not get rid of bad breath. Only flossing will help. That's because plaque is the most common cause of bad breath. And, if proper flossing doesn’t get rid of dragon breath, dentists will become concerned that their patient has a hidden health problem.

Gum for Gum...

One of the easiest ways to reduce bacteria is to chew gum with xylitol.
